HTC Desire X unveiled at IFA 2012
HTC unveiled the Desire X smartphone at the IFA 2012. The Desire X is said to be a bridging between the lower end Desire C and One V. The handset is expected to be launched in European markets by September. The company did not reveal the pricing of the handset.
The device runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and is powered by a Qualcomm 1GHz dual-core processor. HTC has not let out any word on a Jelly Bean OS update for this device. Coming to the display part, the HTC Desire X holds a 4-inch LCD screen with 800x480 resolution. The sensors includes G-Sensor, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor. The device holds dimensions of 118.5 x 62.3 x 9.3 mm and weighs 114 grams.
Camera :
The image capturing and video recording can be done with the 5 megapixel autofocus camera, and comes loaded with features like the maker's proprietary ImageChip and Beats Audio. Users can record videos and capture images simultaneously.
The device offers five level of flash which can be adjusted according to the distance of the subject being focused. Moreover, the BSI sensor enables to capture images with more clarity in dull lighting conditions.
The handset has inbuilt 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage memory. The memory can be extended up to 32GB via microSD card slot. The 1,650 mAh lithium ionBattery which supplies energy to the device is expected to deliver 1200 minutes of talk time for GSM and 600 minutes of tallktime for WCDMA.
In the connectivity front, the handset supports 3G, Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) ,Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA fr wireless media transfer to devices like laptops, computers or a compatible TV. Buyers of this handset will also get 25GB of Dropbox storage with free subscription for two years. The device offers quality music through its built-in Beats Audio feature.
