Innovative New HiWave Sports Headphone Called Farina

HiWave Farina Audio Sports Headphones

The new technology called Farina is a very small transmitter that attaches to the arm of your sunglasses. It stimulates the outer ear which allows your ear to receive sound waves without having anything obstructing your ear canal. HiWave patented a new technology they call “bending wave technology” which vibrates the cartilage of your outer ear to then “accurately reproduce audio from a smartphone or MP3 player.”
To be set apart from its use for mountain bikers and road cyclists or any of the other fitness enthusiasts who wear sunglasses, HiWave believes their Farina Audio product will be ideal for all of those who will be looking to combine both audio and visual input in their sunglasses or glasses, such as what will be found in the much anticipated Project Glass from Google.
With Farina audio, the mini transmitters will be embedded within both arms of the glasses where they come in contact with your ears. The amplifier circuits will be composed of a single chip that, together with a Bluetooth wireless chip will disappear into the arm of the frame.  HiWave has also figured out the crucks of most electronics being the weight of batteries.  But the engineers have designed a low-power technology to minimize the size of the battery so that it to becomes an integral part of the frame of the glasses.
HiWave is pushing hard to sell Farina to manufacturers to use with their own frame designs. Farina is still in the development stage but HiWave hopes to have transmitters in production and available by the end of 2012.
